Star Wars: Tiny Death Star is the latest release from LucasArts. The app has been developed by Disney Mobile in collaboration with NimbleBit, creators of the Tiny Tower saga. It's a business simulation game in which you become the evil Darth Vader (a cute 8-bit version of him) and you have to raise your own Tiny Death Star from scratch. For this purpose, you will count on the help of the Emperor Palpatine, better known as Darth Sidious. He will guide your through the early stages of your adventure. Later, he will offer you some missions to complete and earn imperial credits.
It's a business simulation game in which you become the evil Darth Vader and build your own Tiny Death Star
Your main goal is to build a very productive Death Star and attract galactic "Bitizens" to work in your businesses and live in your Star. The main currency of your adventure and the thing that you will use the most are Credits. With them, you can buy new levels for your star, and you earn them by selling products your business offers, or by trading with your Imperial Bux, which is the other currency. They are used to accelerate the construction of new levels, or to reduce the time of regeneration of some products. You can also purchase new elevators or special levels with Bux and many more things, such as hiring VIPs or recruiting Bitizens. You can earn Bux by discovering undercover rebel agents or by helping visitors find their friends among the multiple levels.
Scenes, characters and the Star Wars universe
When playing Star Wars: Tiny Death Star, several characters of the Star Wars universe will visit your tiny star. Some of them could be imperial allies such as IG-88, Dengar, or the emperor Palpatine, but others are rebel heroes such as Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi or even Chewbacca. These special Bitizens unlock different scenes if you carry them to the correct levels. You will find lots of well-known characters from the Star Wars movies, and they are sorted into different categories in your album. This way, you can be visited by Ladies of the Rebellion, Men of the Rebellion, Rebel Aliens, Rebel Heroes, Rebel Forces, The Force, Bounty Hunters, Droids, Outer Rim, Hutt's Henchmen, Troops, and Cantina Crew.
The levels that you can build in your star are divided into categories too. You can choose from Service, Food, Recreation, and Retail, which are the levels that provide you with credits. Residential levels are where your Bitizens live, and Imperial Levels serve to produce Imperial Items. Each Bitizen has different skills for each type of level. Thus, Bitizens with a higher level of skill for food will work faster and better in Food levels. Besides this, each Bitizen has his or her dream job, and if you make him or her work at that level, they will be very productive, working much better and faster, and producing more stock. In addition, you will be able to know how your Bitizens feels since there is an in-game network called Holonet. It is quite similar to Twitter, and Bitizens post what they think, talking about their regrets, their jobs, or simply posting funny sentences.
